When We Heal the Mind We Must Ask, "What fear can exist when everything is put into the loving hands of God?" In the New Testament of the Bible [Luke 24:1-3], the symbolism of the Resurrection is represented by the rolling of the stone away from the cave - the removal of old thoughts (physical) for a new life (spiritual). The Search for Truth is a Journey towards God.
What does this mean? We search for truth when we search for ourselves. That is, we explore ourselves through intuitive insight. (Remember: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." [Genesis 1:27]) Intuitive insight as the image taken from the mind pattern of the One Creator is God Given.
The way human culture is run today has very little to do with the Laws of God, therefore, has very little to do with your intuitive insight. Your intuitive insight comes from your superconcious, the highest human mind pattern which reflects God. In order to listen to your intuitive insight you need a clear line of communication coming from your superconscious. Your superconscious is that part of your spirit that is the highest level attachement to your physical body.
Let's understand the superconscious better, in the heirarchy of the mind or spirit we first have the subconscious at the lower level. The subconscious is in charge of your basic survival instincts in the physical world. The subconscious relies on the baser raw emotions and lower limbic processing for instant action in the face of danger, sexual arousal, and other stimuli generated from the physical world; it's also at this level that secondary autonomic responses are learned through repetition and predominant cultural influences - good or bad.
In the middle level, we have the conscious, our direct interface to the physical world. The conscious level lends itself to sentience and social interaction in the physical world; it's also a kind of social interface from the lower and/or upper levels of the mind to the physical world. Critical faculties are engrained into the conscious; these faculties are also based on culture which allows certain types of information according to emotional influence and learned social standards.
Mainstream psychology and psychiatry are mainly interested in the first two layers while mildly acknowledging the superconscious; conventional demarcations apply a myriad of facets to the psyche such as "id, ego, and superego" whereas the conscience is the higher level function of the "superego."
Conventional science does not think of people as spiritual beings attached to physical bodies; it prefers to think of the mind as a set of neurological functions in the brain and nervous system. Conventional science fails in this respect since it assume all instructions only come from the brain. Conventional science actually turns to mysticism when we ask where the brain gets its instructions.
Before I proceed, I have to ask you something: What do you Choose To Believe? Do you believe that this particular site is mystically oriented? Let's try to justify your assumption by turning to Webster's definition (circa 1975) of mysticism:
The theory or belief that man can intuitively know God or religious truth through the inward perception of the mind, a more immediate and direct method than that of ordinary understanding or sense perception; any seeking to solve the mysteries of existence through internal illumination or special revelation; a dreamy contemplation or speculation on ideas that have no foundation in human experience.
Does that definition makes sense to you? To me, this definition is as presumptious and misleading as referring to the Michelson-Morley experiment to disprove cosmic ether. I know that I'm going to tread on sensitive critical faculties out there, but please bear with me because I want us to see eye to eye.
First, what is the assumption about "the mind" in this definition? Does a wise and experienced mind not merit introspection? What keeps you from thinking to yourself or thinking for yourself? This is what we do. What is "ordinary understanding" as opposed to inward perception? Do we not perceive ourselves in the same way we perceive the outside world? We're still using the same mind.
Yeah, but what? How is perception different whether you take experiences NOW from the outside world or from the ones you remember from yesterday or ten years ago or tomorrow or ten years in the future in your mind?
I'm reading too much into it? You want me to think simply? OK. How are our sense perceptions NOT involved during "inward perception?" Our minds are just as real and part of nature as anything else. Why would you treat it as any less?
Let's look at the second statement: Other than contemplating God's Creation in the House of the Lord OUTSIDE of yourself, what better way to solve the mystery of existence than to contemplate God's Creation WITHIN yourself. We are all individual aspects of the infinite Mind of God. Each of us as an Aspect of God is a part of an infinite holographic matrix of information, that is, we all have the same information about existence through introspection of ourselves as individual Aspects of God.
Does that disturb your reality? How? Where do you think your preacher gets it every sunday? Where do you believe that the geniuses in art and science get their inspiration? The only difference between you, your preacher and the geniuses out there is that you have yet to use the God Given inspiration from your superconscious.
Let's look at the last statement: How do we define the "human experience?" This statement goes hand in hand with that old parable: "If a tree falls in the forest, but noone is around to hear it, does it make a noise?" Obviously, it did make a noise, but it wasn't part of human experience.
On the other hand, if I had observed that tree fall, then I turn around describe everything to you that I sensed including whatever emotional impact it had on me, am I not relaying my HUMAN experience to you?
By the same token, when I speak of the superconscious, I am referring to a human aspect of the human spirit intimately connected to a physical human foundation. The superconscious contains all of the higher spiritual aspects of ourselves. The higher emotions such as trust, unconditional love, compassion and altruism are the basis of the superconscious.
The superconscious has greater wisdom and understanding since this part of ourselves can see "outside" the box of the physical world, therefore, outside the trappings of human frailty.
It's like being in the middle of a crop circle: You can't really see it for what it is when you're deep in the middle of it because it's too big, but when you view the crop circle from high above, then you can appreciate and understand it.
It's the same for the superconscious: The superconscious sees from "high above" and understands situations from "outside" of the box of the physical world. In this sense, the superconscious gives us the most objective perspective from the highest mind pattern humanly possible; this is Your intuitive insight.
All of us, or at least, most of us have trouble listening to the superconscious because we are bombarded everyday by trivial pursuit and miniscule details of "civilised" culture focused upon human frailties; that's why we opt for a "course correction" from our preachers every sunday.
Does it help? You tell me. To me, the Word of God is the map for course correction. You're the one at the steering wheel. Whether you want your sunday preacher to interpret that map for you or if you want to think for yourself is up to you. In the end, you are the only real navigator in your life. God gave us the freedom to do that.
Also remember that God gave us ears, so we can hear the voice of experience of those around us, and eyes, so we can observe the works of others. God gave us the ability to socially interact, so we can learn from each other - to fill in the gaps in each others' minds. To that end, I proudly stand on the shoulders of esoteric thinkers such as Stewart Swerdlow, Aryah Kaplan, and Donald Tyson who, in turn, stand on the shoulders of those before them. We should always build our understanding upon the foundation of generations of knowledge and wisdom rather than "reinvent the wheel" every time we are beset by deep issues.
I have only scratched the surface of human experience and ability. We have to remember that we are so much more than the law of man or whatever corporate solutions that only hinder the human spirit. We are so much more than trivial pursuit or fads or fashion. We are so much more than pride or envy or jealously. God created us to be even greater than the angels who serve us. We ARE spiritual beings, therefore, we MUST adhere to the laws of spiritual reality. We MUST adhere to the laws of spiritual authority - or else - We are less than human.
The only REAL Authority is the God of Abraham, Yehovah. The Only REAL Law is the Word of God. Decadent Human Culture does not adhere to the Laws of God; most of us only give lip service on sundays, if at all. Here's the problem: Most of us are too distracted from the heavens and the Rest of God's Creation.
Compare the story of Rahab to the asteroid belt in our solar system for an example. God gave us science, so we could explore His Creation - not so we could surf the web on our phones, carry around iPods, or watch the ball game on our laptops; certainly not so we could find new and better ways to hurt each other.
Your Search for Truth is the exploration of God's Creation; that includes You. God created Us in His Own Image, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We are individual aspects of God who can make our own choices. We are a special variation of God's Creation because We are Aware of Our Existence; this very fact makes Genesis 1:27 absolutely true.
What is also true is "The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide." [Psalms 37:31] Your intuitive insight comes from the Law of God in Your heart. When our hearts are not in line with God's Law, when Our Hearts keep missing a beat over and over again, we get into trouble. Look at us now:
The prophet's commission is found in Isaiah verse 9-10. Isaiah had a heart breaking task ahead of him as he knew they would hear but would not understand. They would not respond to God's Message and thus would find themselves spiritually blind and deaf. When a person or nation turns their back on God, the heart becomes callous and hard to the point where there is no return or cure.
In Genesis 6:3, we read, "The Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man." This is not a message the people of Isaiah's day wanted to hear and not one that is preached in our generation. The result of turning away is callousness, and leads to the land being devastated and the people being removed. The penalty of sin is total devastation to a person individually and a nation collectively.
"You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out as it did those before you." [Leviticus 20:22]
"God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."[Galatians 6:7]
This chapter ends on a note of hope, the Holy Seed is her substance. In the mist of gloom and disaster as the result of sin, God always has a people. In this instance, a tenth will return and become seed for future glory. This doctrine of the Holy Seed is at the very heart of Isaiah's message. Out of all the trouble will come a faithful remnant. Out of this Holy Seed came the means by which our wonderful Lord, Jesus Christ, would come to earth as a baby, and in His position as Immanuel give His life for all of mankind.
As a result of the Holy Seed, Israel has a great future when the Messiah shall sit on the throne of David and rule over the whole earth as King. For at the end of this book, we shall see the message, "and I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying," [Isaiah 65:19].
I will not promise you Heaven on Earth. Our trials and tribulations are part of our lessons in this physical reality. What I'm asking you to do is be spiritually fulfilled rather than get distracted by corporate/government invented terrors and trivial persuit.
We live and express the truth of our existence as each individual divine spark. When you pray to God, know that the answer already exists: 'So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours' [Mark 11:24, New Testament]. The solutions we seek are already part of Creation; We need only align our insight with God's to find them. In doing this, we cleanse the soul. To keep our souls cleansed of fear, darkness, and depression, we use daily Affirmations.
This world should be a healthier, richer, space-age civilisation based on truth, freedom, and life-positive values all based in love, yet we find ourselves trapped in a parody becoming more decadent because of powerful self interests.
